Nobel Peace Prize Brooch

The Freedom brooch was created out of Humanium Metal for Oleksandra Matviichuk, head of Center for Civil Liberties and The Nobel Prize laureate, to honor their courageous work, including Euromaidan SOS and documenting Russian war crimes.

The beauty of the brooch does lie in its symbolic design and its transformation from destroyed weapons into Humanium Metal, often called the ‘world’s most precious metal’.

The original idea and sketches, made by Ukrainian artist Tamara Rogozina, were inspired by CCL’s freedom-symbolic logo, Ukrainian coat of arms, and the values of peace, freedom and democracy that Ukrainians are defending every day.

Read Oleksandra’s powerful Nobel Peace Prize lecture, raising important questions and the call to action to take responsibility.
